Humans tend to see the world in black and white. But viewing life through these extremes limits the amount of color and light we experience. Through this series I merge different visual worlds. I try to find a space for the detailed world within the photograph as a whole. These photographs were created by taking several exposures on one 35 mm negative. Double and sometimes triple exposures produce a transparency between the layers of images. This transparency eradicates visual certainty of the natural world and calls into question what is being viewed.
